Home » ICI Annual Report highlights progress on combating child labor
To mark the World Day Against Child Labor on June 12, the International Cocoa Initiative (ICI) has released its 2019 Annual Report, showing progress from last year but also examining the results of longer running efforts to tackle child labor.
Faced with a problem as complex as child labor, the ICI says learning from experience, exploring new approaches and adapting to changing circumstances is essential to delivering impact for farming families. With the cocoa sector now threatened by the social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is more urgent than ever.
