Though Valentine’s Day 2020 is nearly in the books, it’s not too early to start thinking about Halloween and Christmas.
ECRM’s Candy Planning: Christmas & Halloween program, set for next week at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, will bring together nearly 100 manufacturers and buyers representing more than 70 retail outlets in short, speed-dating-style meetings designed to maximize efficiency.
“We are looking forward to many productive appointments as our team has been working hard to get everyone well prepared,” said Lisa Burkart, ECRM category development manager- candy. “It is truly amazing to see all that is accomplished onsite in just a few days, and I’m excited to get the session started!”
Furthermore, Candy Industry and ECRM will again host the Kids Choice Awards. Young people from a local Boys & Girls Club will act as junior candy buyers and judge submissions in the Chocolate, Non-Chocolate and Novelty categories.
This session comes a month after ECRM launched a new brand identity highlighting its technology‑enabled and high‑touch suite of category management support solutions.
"ECRM's consultative approach results in a much more tailored experience for buyers attending its category programs, which delivers me a productive schedule of appointments with a diverse array of qualified suppliers," Kenneth Hausmann, senior category manager - dairy, frozen & bulk foods at Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, said in a news release announcing the rebranding effort.
