KLN Family Brands has donated $100,000 to Pinky Swear Foundation, a Minnesota-based organization that offers emotional and financial support to children with cancer and their families.

The company, maker of Wiley Wallaby licorice and Sweet Chaos snack mixes, presented the donation at the annual Pinky Swear Gala on Saturday, April 27. This donation is part of KLN Family Brand’s $1 million commitment to the foundation’s mission.

“There is a reason why ‘family’ is in the middle of our company’s name,” said Charlie Nelson, president of KLN Family Brands. “Family is at the heart of everything we’re about and everything we stand for. It’s a privilege to work with Pinky Swear Foundation to lend support to families when they need it most.”

KLN Family Brands has supported Pinky Swear Foundation since 2015. Along with backing the Pinky Swear Gala, KLN Family Brands provides crucial funds to Pinky Swear Foundation through partnerships with the New York Yankees, Wiley Wallaby licorice sales, NurtiSource Pet Foods retail partners and more.

“This gift will help us help so many families with a child battling cancer,” said Erica Campbell, executive director for Pinky Swear Foundation. “We are so grateful for KLN Family Brands and for Charlie’s generous commitment to giving back to the community in big ways.”

KLN Family Brands is also set to sponsor “Pinky Swear Day” at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 21, in partnership with the New York Yankees. Tickets are available here.

This is the third year the Pinky Swear Foundation, New York Yankees and KLN Family Brands have hosted an event together, raising more than $15,550 since 2017.
