Halloween by the numbers: A scary good time for Americans
Almost half of all Americans celebrate Halloween.
Halloween is arguably one of the sweetest holidays of the year. When else would it be acceptable for the average person — kids and adults alike — to put on a costume and shamelessly beg for candy?
And this year, we have the good fortune of celebrating Halloween on a Saturday. With more than 100 million places to trick-or-treat in America and 49 million people planning to host or attend a Halloween party, there are more than enough ways to justify throwing on a silly costume and enjoying the day.
But if that's not enough to convince you to join the fun, maybe these numbers from Mars and Wrigley will help change your mind.
