Where the wafer meets the road — Loacker’s is celebrating its 90th anniversary through its American Road Trip campaign this summer.

While the iconic Italian wafer and cookie company has been based in the Sud Tirol region of Italy since 1925, its made waves in the U.S. only in recent years.

"We're thrilled to be celebrating our 90th Anniversary by literally taking the wafers to the streets," says Crystal Black Davis, v.p. of marketing, Loacker USA. "What could be more iconically American than a road trip, and what is more iconically Italian than a Loacker wafer?”

Launched on May 11 in New York City, the Loacker van has made stops in in five other cities — Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, and Orlando — providing “Loacker Love” and wafers to people. Its trip will conclude on July 3 back in the Big Apple.

Upcoming stops on the Road trip include:

June 23-27: Orlando, Fla.

July 2-3: New York, N.Y.

Looks like an exciting way to start the summer.

And as Davis says, “It's a perfect way to connect — or as we say, share the 'Loacker Love.'"
