Spicy Dark Chocolate Goat’s Milk Caramel
Fat Toad Farm, Brookfield, Vt.
This small, family-run goat dairy farm is known for its Goat’s Milk Caramel Sauce. And, its newest flavor is Spicy Dark Chocolate.
Made with Taza Chocolate’s Organic Stone Ground Chocolate, it comes together by slowly stirring stone ground chocolate and a healthy pinch of cayenne right into the almost finished caramel. Once the chocolate has fully melted, the caramel is dark, rich and beautifully freckled.
It also comes in four other mouthwatering flavors: Original, Salted Bourbon, Vanilla Bean, Cinnamon, and Cold Brew Coffee Caramel made with Stumptown Coffee Roasters’ Cold Brew.
This company’s farmstead goat’s milk caramel sauces are hand-crafted in small-batches on a family farm. In the true spirit of farm steading, the company exclusively uses milk from its own goats, and personally shepherds each ounce of caramel from grass to goat to jar and finally, into one’s hands (or mouth!). All of the caramel is verified gluten-free, and never includes any artificial ingredients or preservatives.
It’s great drizzled on ice cream, stirred in coffee and tea, and drizzled on apples and peaches.
Ingredients: Goat’s milk, pure cane sugar, Taza Organic Stone Ground Chocolate Liquor, baking soda, ground cayenne.
