Sugar Factory is bringing its celebrity sweets to the nation’s capital.

The company is planning to open its eighth retail store in Washington D.C.’s famous Union Station after announcing its seventh location in Los Angeles.

“Our new East Coast home will have the signature Sugar Factory sweets our fans love, but there will be specific touches to the D.C. location that you cannot get anywhere else,” says owner, Charissa Davidovici.

Designed by Amy Kim of AK DesignNETWORK, the Sugar Factory D.C. store will combine function and form to take guests on a breathtaking, visually inspiring journey.

The new venue will combine a café and goblet bar with an expansive retail store. Everything from classic childhood novelties and modern candy creations to the brand’s signature treats, including the company’s famed Couture Pops, will be offered.

Sugar Factory’s Couture Pops have become a celebrity favorite since their conception in 2009. Pop stars such as Britney Spears, Eva Longoria, Kim Kardashian, Drake and more have been spotted throughout the years with the candy company’s famous lollipops.

Synonymous with the Sugar Factory brand, the Couture Pop collections have hit the red carpets in the hands of major events in Miami, Los Angeles, New York City and Las Vegas, and are just part of the buzz that has made Sugar Factory a staple in such national media as People, OK!, Us Weekly, In Touch Weekly, NBC’s Today Show and more.

In addition to classic confections, the new venue also will introduce one-of-a-kind candy creations, including a signature All-American Couture Pop and White House-inspired gummies that can be purchased exclusively at the Union Station location.

It won’t be just candy creations at the new store though. Sugar Factory’s will offer it’s 32-oz. goblet drinks, such as the The Lollipop Passion made with pineapple juice, fresh lemon sour, Midori Melon Liquor, Bacardi Rock Coconut, Ketel Citroen and Sprite. And, The Sunshine Tea, Berry Bliss and Ocean Blue goblets will also be available, along with a full menu of goblet creations.

Along with Sugar Factory’s goblets of goodness, handmade milkshakes will be coming to the nation’s capital. The popular ice cream treats are fan favorites, and the most sought after milkshake is the Make A Wish — a mouthwatering mixture of vanilla soft serve, sprinkles, cupcake syrup and vanilla cake pieces, topped with whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles and a birthday candle. Additional selections include The Barbie Milkshake, Cookie Jar Milkshake, Berry Blast Milkshake and more.

Sugar Factory currently has stores located at The Mirage Resort & Casino, Miracle Mile Shops inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, MGM Grand Hotel & Casino and Paris Las Vegas.

The famed sweet retreat opened its first New York City location in the Meatpacking District earlier this year and will open a second East Coast sweet shop in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center this fall. The brand expanded internationally with its first retail store overseas in Bahrain this summer and Sugar Factory will make its way to cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Miami and more by 2014.
