CARE, in collaboration with Cargill and The Starbucks Foundation, is launching a new effort designed to support cocoa-growing communities in Côte d’Ivoire, building on decades of CARE’s experience in developing Village Saving and Loans Associations.
The International Cocoa Initiative has nearly met its goal of reaching 200,000 children with child protection measures half-way through its six-year strategy.
Under the roof of the Transforming Education in Cocoa Communities program, Barry Callebaut, Blommer, Caboz, Cargill, Cémoi, Hershey, Mars and Mondelez International will engage in the implementation of the most comprehensive quality education effort to date in the Ivory Coast.
