After a six-month analysis of Old Dominion Peanut Co.’s manufacturing facility in Norfolk, Va., parent company Hammond’s Brands has determined it will shut down all operations there.
Call it an epiphany? Maybe. Life-changing? Most certainly. For Andrew Schuman, who had traveled across two-thirds of the country to visit Hammond's Candies, the moment certainly struck a nerve.
This year's Naughty or Nice canes each come with the same look -- red with black and white pinstripes -- but some are flavored a "nice" strawberry and a "naughty" black licorice.

Hammond's Brands is launching Mellow Snacks, its newest brand featuring creative and better-for-you snacks, with Mellow Fluffs, handmade marshmallow snacks that pair innovative flavors with the sweet, gooey goodness that consumers know and love.
However, the run-of-the-mill peppermint flavor often makes me say “Bah! Humbug!” Thankfully, Seattle-based novelty dealer Archie McPhee and other companies are here to help.
