Mark started his career at the R. M. Palmer Company in 1986 in the maintenance department while going to school for electrical engineering. During his 33-year career with the company and through many promotions, Mark has overseen all operations, sales, and strategic planning to help guide the company to grow to one of the largest chocolate moulding manufacturers in the United States.

Palmer is most known for its chocolate Easter bunnies produced by almost one thousand full-time and seasonal associates. The Palmer brand can be found throughout North America, as well as internationally to countries as far away as Australia, Korea, and Japan. He led the company with innovation and technical advancement to become one of the leading chocolate contract manufacturers in the world that produces many popular chocolate brands in the marketplace today.

Mark currently serves as a board member on the National Confectioners Association, Berks County Workforce Investment Board, Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce, Manufacturing Resource Center, and the R. M. Palmer Company. He is the current award winner of the National Confectioners Association’s 2019 Advocate of the Year Award and is very active in the National Confectioners Association’s Political Action Committee.

Mark always enjoys spending time with his family and friends.  Mark and his wife Karen have been active in fostering children by supporting local community programs and are very proud of their four children and three grandchildren.
