FONA International has named Jeremy Thompson, the company’s chief operating officer, as president. Thompson will retain his COO title.

“I am privileged to name Jeremy as president and chief operating officer,” said Chairman and CEO Joe Slawek. “Jeremy continues to empower our executive leadership team and our next-gen leaders each day. He has demonstrated excellence in his performance and character while uniquely serving our customers, employees and stakeholders, especially with changing times during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

With 20 years of experience in the food industry, Thompson has helped guide FONA with his diverse background knowledge and growth mindset. In 2018, he began at FONA as executive v.p. of revenue generation, helping lead teams to multiple revenue records while also serving as an active and influential member of FONA’s Executive Leadership Team. Thompson was promoted to chief operating officer in July 2019, continuing to serve FONA’s valued and help grow business and talent through strategic vision and creative approaches.

In his new role, Thompson will be responsible for growing the business while continuing his day-to-day operations. He will empower FONA’s executive leaders, sales team and next-generation leaders to grow both themselves and the business, while delivering value for customers and stakeholders.
