CandyStore.com has created a map highlighting the favorite jelly bean flavors of each state.

The online bulk retailer compiled the map based on 12 years of its own sales data, as well as results from more than 10,000 survey responses.

CandyStore.com noted Cinnamon is the No. 1 ranked flavor this year, up from No. 2 last year and No. 3 in 2018. The retailer added spicy candy and sour candy continue to gain popularity. Buttered Popcorn, which was last year’s favorite, dropped to the No. 2 spot this year.

Black Licorice came in at No. 3, followed by Cherry at No. 4 and Juicy Pear at No. 5. Toasted Marshmallow, Watermelon, Strawberry, Orange and Root Beer round out the Top 10.

California followed the national rankings, with Cinnamon earning the top spot, followed by Buttered Popcorn. New Yorkers prefer sour jelly beans, but Buttered Popcorn also came in second. In Illinois, where Candy Industry is based, chocolate-flavored jelly beans are the favorite.
