RCI Board of Directors names new president, inducts four new members
Inductees announced during Annual Convention & Industry Expo, held June 3-7 in Hartford, Connecticut.
Retail Confectioners International (RCI) inducted four new members to its board of directors during RCI’s Annual Convention & Industry Expo, held June 3-7 in Hartford, Connecticut.
Each June, RCI inducts new board members and recognizes the years of service from members whose terms are expiring. RCI welcomed the following members to its 2019-2020 board of directors:
- Denise Lansing, Clasen Quality Chocolate, Madison, Wisconsin
- Chuck Phelan, Barry Callebaut USA, West Chester, Pennsylvania
- Jeffery Smith, Peterbrooke Chocolatier, Jacksonville, Florida
- Susan Truax, Bruce’s Candy Kitchen, Cannon Beach, Oregon
Additionally, Barry Bomboy of Bomboy’s Home Made Candy, Inc. in Havre de Grace, Maryland, was inducted to serve as the 2019-2020 president of the board of directors, and Rebecca Craig of Marie’s Candies in West Liberty, Ohio was inducted as the third vice president.
“It is truly an exciting time to be RCI’s president of the board of directors,” Bomboy said. “I look forward to welcoming the fresh ideas and perspectives of the new board members as we continue our mission of serving the needs of retail chocolate and candy makers.”
