See’s Candies President and CEO Brad Kinstler has retired.

The Berkshire Hathaway company announced in November Kinstler would pass the reins of See’s Candies to Pat Egan, senior v.p. of NV Energy, another Berkshire Hathaway company, at the end of April 2019. Egan began the transition process Nov. 12, 2018.

Kinstler served as president and ceo of See’s since January 2006, succeeding Charles N. Huggins. Kinstler served in various roles with Berkshire Hathaway for 32 years. Egan becomes only the third CEO of See’s since it was acquired by Berkshire Hathaway in 1972.

Founded in 1921, See’s Candy crafts chocolates and treats in its own candy kitchens. From decadent truffles and chocolate-covered nuts to lollipops and crunchy peanut brittle, there’s quality in every piece.

Each of See’s 240 shops features a crisp, clean black-and-white checkered motif inspired by Mary See’s original kitchen. Each day, visitors are welcomed with friendly service and a free sample of candy.
