Ferrara introduces Black Forest gummy bears with brighter color

Gummy bears will also have tree symbols on their bellies.

Black Forest gummy bears are getting a new look.

Ferrara Candy Co. announced its organic Black Forest bears, known for a soft, chewy texture, will have a brighter color starting July 15. The bears will also have a Black Forest tree on their bellies.

At the Sweets & Snacks Expo in May, Ferrara CEO Todd Siwack said the company seeks to offer the “cutest, best tasting” gummy bears with a clean label.

“We intend to help drive incremental growth in the gummy category by virtue of that,” he said.
