Roxiana Foods has launched in the United States the Richmond chocolate brand, featuring 70-gram bars made with fine-flavor Caribbean cacao and Caribbean cane sugar.

Manufactured in the Dominican Republic, Richmond chocolate is available in select specialty and convenience stores. Varieties include Creamy Milk, Whole Almond and Full House, which contains almonds, peanuts, hazelnuts, raisins and crisped rice.

Highgate Holdings Ltd., owner of the Richmond brand, granted Roxiana Foods, importer and distributor of Caribbean cocoa and chocolate items, an exclusive license to import and distribute Richmond products in the United States.

Richmond chocolates have been distributed in the Caribbean since 1976. After a successful limited release of the product in the United Kingdom under the Highgate label, it has been subsequently rebranded for the U.S. release.

With its central manufacturing facility in the Dominican Republic, the Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR) allows Roxiana to competitively market Richmond bars. Roxiana aims to tap into an unsatisfied market demand aimed at price-conscious consumers who will want to purchase premium chocolate.
