The Warrell Corp. has named Matthew Caiazza as its new president and ceo.
Caiazza succeeds Kevin Silva, who announced his resignation in December. Silva had served two years in the executive role and 26 years at the Camp Hill, Pa.-based company. The reason for Silva’s departure was not disclosed.
Caiazza has a bachelor’s degree in economics from John Carroll University. He joins The Warrell Corp. with 26 years of experience in manufacturing, sales, marketing and consulting. Caizza spent the first half of his career leading his family’s chocolate manufacturing business, Caiazza USA.
Most recently, Caiazza co-founded and led Paul’s Beverage Co., a contract manufacturer of new-age beverages for major marketers and retailers. This experience expanded Caiazza’s knowledge of private label and contract manufacturing businesses.
Warrell manufactures and markets confections and “snackfections,” including chocolate products, taffy, brittle, caramels and nut clusters under the Pennsylvania Dutch Candies, Katharine Beecher, Nut’n But Natural and Flipsticks brands. Warrell’s distribution division, also named Pennsylvania Dutch Candies, serves specialty retail shops.
