Cook, who also took home the People’s Choice Award, competed against 19 other chocolatiers, including Norman Love Confections Chef Chris Botterman.
Cook created two chocolates sold at Normal Love. The first, a molded piece, was made with white chocolate and flavored as banana passion cheesecake. Her hand-dipped piece featured almond, raspberry and 49 percent milk chocolate.
Botterman’s molded entry was coconut based, and his hand-dipped piece, inspired by Snickers, featured peanuts and caramel.
“I am extremely proud of the dedication to excellence that Molly and Chris demonstrated in this competition,” said Norman Love, founder and ceo of Norman Love Confections. “They are both artistic and passionate in their craft, and work tirelessly to be the very best in our industry.”
