Wolfgang Candy Co. has announced the hiring of Samuel Miller as its chief operating officer.

Miller, 38, will lead the company's day-to-day internal operations, which include administrative functions, production and order fulfillment operations, supply chain and human resources.

“Sam is a strong leader and has my confidence and the trust of our board and ownership group,” says Ben McGlaughlin, ceo.  “I’m looking forward to our partnership with Sam to provide guidance during this next phase of growth for the business.”

Miller has demonstrated familiarity with the company. He's spent time both as an executive of a vendor to Wolfgang Candy Co. and recently served in a consulting capacity on its fulfillment and fundraising operations.

“Wolfgang Candy is a great company with a strong brand name, excellent customer service and a long history of producing high quality candy,” says Miller. “Over the past year I have gotten to know the company well and I look forward to working with this talented team.”

Founded in York, Penn. in 1921, the company was purchased by the Stillman Family Businesses in 2012. Since then it has developed multiple product lines and seen improved sales and operations.

“From the moment I met Sam I felt his passion and excitement to join the team in making Wolfgang a world class chocolatier and manufacturer of premium chocolate products,” says Mike Stillman, chairman of the board. “Sam’s experience, energy and relentless desire to improve manufacturing operations, will serve Wolfgang well now and into the future.”
