Tanis Confectionery is the leading supplier of processing equipment for gums and jellies, hard candies, fondant creams, chewy candies and various snack/energy and breakfast bars.  The past three years have revealed a number of different trends within the candy manufacturing industry. Two common denominators, however, have emerged: cost reduction and product innovation.

Energy consumption has always been a big issue in candy manufacturing.

Also, nutraceuticals are now becoming more and more popular within the confectionery industry. Instead of marketing a regular confectionery product, specialized companies add an active ingredient, such as vitamins, to the formula of the additive mix and use a confectionery product as a delivery vehicle.

At its booth, Tanis Confectionery will show parts of complete product lines in which these process line innovations  have been incorporated.

  • T-Gel Nutra for the production of candies with active ingredients. Skids for inserting raw materials and cooking in which energy-saving and raw material usage reduction technologies have been incorporated.
  • Part of the company’s delivery program encompasses cleaning equipment, known as “Cleaning In Place” (CIP). On our stand we will show a CIP skid that is used for the cleaning of a T-Gel Nutra product line.
  • A complete weighing, cooking and aeration skid for the production of a T-Chew.
  • For the production of small volumes of gums and jellies or for testing purposes a T-Gel lab with a capacity of 100 kg/hr will be shown. In addition, the T-Batch Lab Cooker, which is the smallest batch cooker in the company’s equipment that can be used for smaller volume  caramel, hard candy and jellies production, will be on display.
