interpack: Hosokawa Bepex
At interpack, Hosokawa Bepex will be exhibiting several new concepts targeted toward confectionery cooking, forming, cutting, enrobing and cooling. In the area of cooking, the kitchen concept is based on a new hygienic design that focuses on simple and good operability.
For example, the skids have been planned without rods or mass piping in the range of operation. All valves, which are operated by hand are free and easy accessible. In addition, all tanks are engineered using hygienic design.
All bottoms of the buffer vessels are tapered. This improves the sagging of masses, which makes cleaning easier and eliminates the need to adapt the scrapers (spare parts) to the walls of the vessel. The top covers of the buffer vessels are designed without edges and corners. Each of them are manufactured with a tilt angel to the outside, so liquids can run down.
On the forming end, the new universal form press drive has been completely redesigned.
As for cutting operations, the current strand slitter design improves both hygiene and safety from our already well established unit. The primary cutting surface is still on the counter roller but as in previous designs, slitting can still be made on the infeed conveyor when needed for certain products. As a result of the machine redesign, adjustments are easier to make and access for cleaning and maintenance are improved.
The current enrobing unit, Chocoat Premium HD has been completely redesigned to provide ease of access, preventive maintenance and sanitary design as the primary focus.
The machine frame has been designed as “unibody,”which means welded joints are completely sealed by continuous welding from both sides. All rods and shafts are made of solid stainless steel material or sealed by welding and can be easily removed from the enrober body for cleaning and maintenance.
Hosokawa’s latest evolution of its BKK HD high efficiency cooling tunnel is a design that is more efficient and even more hygienic than our standard version.
