Founded in 1951, Driam is providing the confectionery and pharmaceutical industry with a wide range of individual coating machines as well as complete turnkey installations and accessories, which run the gamut from laboratory units with exchangeable pans to production machines of up to 3,750 liters/batch.

Coating machines with perforated pans for hard sugar and polishing applications are marketed under the brand name Driacoater whereas machines with solid wall pans for chocolate and soft sugar coating are sold under the name Driamat.

Driam’s Driaconti-T represents the company’s latest development for continuous coating of soft sugar and also film coating. The new machines combine the advantages of a traditional batch coating into a continuous mini batch process.

A state-of-the-art laboratory is available for customers for development work and process optimization.

Various forms of intermediate and finished storage, also provided by Driam, are often required for turnkey projects and may also involve sorting and grading equipment offered by Maschinpex, an affiliate company of Driam.

At interpack 2014 in Düsseldorf, Driam will be showing — at a new location in Hall 02/F04 , a 2-tonDriacoater of the GMP line, the newly developed economy Driacoater DRC 1600/1.25 for 500 kg finished batch capacity, a laboratory coater with exchangeable drums and also a DRN-T continuous lab coater.
