Salazon Chocolate Co. produces a line of 100% organic, single-origin, salted dark (57%) chocolate bars. The salted-chocolate bars are crafted in small batches and each bar is hand-sprinkled with a signature touch of natural sea salt. The company currently make five varieties, which include the following: original sea salt, sea salt & pepper, sea salt & caramel, sea salt & coffee, and sea salt & turbinado cane sugar. It also is planning to introduce a coconut bar (possibly with a flavored sea salt...TBD) and there two additional bars in the works.
The single-origin chocolate bars are made exclusively with organic, Rainforest Alliance-certified Hispaniola beans from The Dominican Republic. These premium beans have been fermented and sun-dried. In addition to being organic, the bars are kosher, Fair Trade-certified, vegan (except for the caramel bar) and gluten-free. They are all produced in the company’s Sykesville facility.
Ingredients: (Organic Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt & Crushed Organic Coffee variety) Organic dark chocolate (organic chocolate liquor, organic evaporated cane juice, organic cocoa butter and organic soy lecithin added as an emulsifier), organic vanilla, organic coffee and sea salt.
