Carmit Candy Industries claims its latest treats can help you lose weight, boost your immune system and even promote bone health.

In a push to appeal more to health-conscious consumers, the company has launched a line of fortified confections to address specific health concerns.

Some highlights of the new fortified confectionery product line include:

  • A weight-management wafer-bar with glucomannan and potato extract
  • A bone-health chocolate coin with calcium, vitamin D and vitamin K
  • An immune-health sugar-free toffee chew with echinacea, vitamin C and zinc

“This is a natural progression for us, after successfully developing and launching innovative products in the global gluten-free confectionery market,” says Steve Grun, the company’s ceo.

Adrian Sagman, v.p. – export marketing and sales says the products can be offered as-is, or they can work with companies to create a custom formulation.

“We are very excited about the potential of the fortified confectionery and supplement markets. Our customers are looking for new and innovative products — especially supplements that can be delivered in a tasty food format,” she says.

Carmit Candy Industries will present its new fortified confections at the Natural Products Expo West in Anahiem, Calif., March 8-10.
