Cadbury milk chocolate Diamond Jubilee

Even the chocolate world will be celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee.

This May, Kraft Foods is marking the 60th anniversary of the queen’s accession to the throne with the release of a limited edition Cadbury Dairy Milk milk chocolate bar.

The chocolate bar packaging includes elements of the pack design in market when the queen was crowned in 1952.

The warrant of appointment that Queen Elizabeth II granted Cadbury in 1955 also appears on the heritage pack. The Cadbury brand first was awarded a Royal Warrant as 'manufacturer of cocoa and chocolate' by Queen Victoria in 1854.

This summer is set to be full of celebratory events, with the nation revelling in everything British and coming together to enjoy great events such as The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee,” says Susan Nash, Kraft Foods’ trade communications manager. “The 400-g. bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk, which caters for sharing occasions and taps into consumers’ sense of patriotism and excitement around these celebrations, is perfect for such occasions.”
