The who’s who of the candy industry turned out en masse early this summer to celebrate the presentation of the 61st annual Kettle Award. This year’s award — which recognizes career contributions to the confectionery industry — was presented to William H. Kelley, vice chairman of Jelly Belly Candy Company.  

The award is sponsored by Confectioner’s sister publication, Candy Industry, and was presented at a reception sponsored by the two magazine at Chicago’s Intercontinental Hotel.

Also honored at the festive and elegant event were Kettle Award nominees, Thomas S. Ward, co-president of Russell Stover Candies, and James R. Sconza, president of Sconza Candy Co.
