All Candy Expo
Candy Sprouts Draw Interest at Expo
Despite the company name, Canada’s Kid’s Brands was attracting all sorts of adults to its booth at this year’s All Candy Expo. The source of the buzz was Kid’s Brands’ Little Sprouts Candy and Grasshead.
The unique product has a hollow, oval-shaped plastic body with quirky face and feet in a variety of colors. The body houses sour candy gummy worms, a sweet imitation of the kind that really lives below the grass in the great outdoors. On top is a self-contained rye grass seedling that—after six days of watering (a tablespoon a day will do)—sprouts grass. Eventually, the Little Sprouts Grasshead may need a trim to its bright green “hair” for more fun for the kids.
Each Little Sprout has a suggested retail price of $1.99.
