Brown M&M’S, which have existed since M&M’S were first produced, are finally getting their own “spokescandy.”

Mars Chocolate North America announced that they will reveal the sixth M&M’S character, Ms. Brown, in an ad during Super Bowl XLVI.

Every other classic color of M&M’S has a corresponding “spokescandy.” The red and yellow “spokescandies” were the first to be introduced to the public. Since then, the launch of new colors and products has often been accompanied by the introduction of a new character.

However, brown M&M’S had seemingly been overlooked, at least until now.

“We’re very excited to introduce Ms. Brown to the world,” says Debra A. Sandler, chief consumer officer, Mars Chocolate North America. “Now is the time for Ms. Brown to step into the spotlight – and there’s no bigger spotlight than Super Bowl Sunday.”

M&M’S will unveil the first images of Ms. Brown Jan. 30 at 3 p.m. EST during special events at The Grove in Los Angeles and at M&M’S World in New York City, says the company in a press release. Fans can also watch the reveal event live on the M&M’S Facebook page.

Following the Super Bowl ad created by BBDO New York, Ms. Brown will be featured in a series of television, print and digital ads, in-store displays, promotions, as well as on Facebook and Twitter.
