Blommer Chocolate Co. has named a new supply chain operations director as well as a logistics manager.

Kevin Kemler has been named as the company’s corporate director of supply chain operations; he joined the company Nov. 7. Blommer also appointed Tammie Brill corporate logistics manager; she joined the company Oct. 17.

Kemler has a strong supply chain management background with experience in various supply chain disciplines, including procurement and supplier management; strategic sourcing; customer service; distribution; warehouse and transportation operations; accounting and finance; and information technology.

He holds a B.S. degree in economics from Pennsylvania State University, an MBA from Lebanon Valley College of Pennsylvania with a concentration on managerial accounting and production and operations management, and a M.S. in information systems from Shippensburg University.

Meanwhile, Brill most recently was regional logistics manager at Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. for 11 years.

Previous to that position, she worked as the company’s senior transportation analyst. She has previous experience with Mitsui Intermodal and held positions with them including network operations manager and intermodal coordinator.

Brill has extensive experience managing transportation operations, including identifying and capitalizing on cost savings and service improvement opportunities. She holds a B.S. degree in economics from the University of Maryland and a M.S. in business management from Johns Hopkins University.
