Fannie May has new 'Love'

A partnership has bloomed between iconic confectionery company, Fannie May, and renowned chocolatier, Norman Love, just in time for the spring season.

The two chocolate connoisseurs have collaborated to create an exclusive product line for Fannie May, inspired by the unique flavors for which Love is known. Each piece will be hand-crafted and include ingredients from all over the world.

This is not the first time that these two chocolate powerhouses have been paired together. Love first met Fannie May at the National Restaurant Association trade show a few years ago in what Dave Taiclet - the president of 1-800-Flowers.com's Gourmet Food Group, the company the bought Fannie May in 2010 - calls a “match made in chocolate heaven.”

Over the years a bond formed as Love’s products were tested through Fannie May’s stores during key sales times such as Valentine’s Day.

“Due to the overwhelming success Norman’s product line had with Fannie May’s devout customers, the partnership was a natural, organic progression in the relationship between these two popular chocolatiers,” says Taiclet.

Fannie May, which has been operating for  91 years, is excited to be working with such a recognized confectioner.

“Norman is a known innovator in the world of chocolates and confections,” said Terry Mitchell, president of Fannie May. “His continued dedication to excellence and quality make him a natural choice for launching a luxury chocolate collection for Fannie May.”

Norman Love, himself,  first became popular in 2001 for his impeccably handcrafted chocolates - known for both their creativity and artistic presentation. He cites Fannie May’s own well-known presence in the confectionery industry as his reason for jumping on board.

“Fannie May has long been a beloved brand, and a company that maintains an unwavering commitment to creating delicious chocolates with high quality ingredients made from classic recipes - many of which have remained unchanged for decades,” says Norman Love. “I’m proud to be working with the Fannie May family and to introduce this sumptuous collection to their product offerings.”

The collection will be available online and in stores beginning in spring 2011.
