THE COMPANY:La Maison Du Chocolat, Paris
THE PRODUCT: Holiday Snowflake Collection
THE HOOK: Inspired by the delicate form of a snowflake, La Maison Du Chocolat introduces its Holiday Snowflake Collection. Creative director Gilles Marchal, artisan Nicolas Cloiseau and artist and master jeweler Jean Boggio designed the three varieties of snowflake chocolates-The Snowflake Tree, Coffret and Bûche. The Snowflake Tree features gold, bronze, silver, red and crystal dark or milk chocolate snowflakes in ginger, verveine and grapefruit flavors. Packaging for the Snowflake Coffret features metallic and pressed copper with snowflakes. Inside the box, seven new flavors are found: Shimmering Chestnut (small glazed chestnut), Orange Stick Confits (orange confits in dark chocolate), Banema (dark ganache with banana), Bulle (milk ganache with rose Champagne and red fruits), Dentelle (milk praliné feuilleté with hazelnuts, almonds and slivers of crispy crepes), Marci Pani (almond paste with citrus zest and holiday spices) and Cumbia (dark ganache with roasted cocoa beans). The Snowflake Bûche de Noël is similar to a rounded ingot chocolate with three chocolate “wands” and a snowflake on top. A biscuit and chocolate mousse with holiday spices, pear, honey and pear coulis flavors make up the Bûche. Individual sizes will be available Dec. 13, 2008, while larger sizes will be available Dec. 20, 2008 through the holidays.
