THE COMPANY: Berkshire Bark, Inc., Sheffield, Mass.
THE PRODUCT: Jumpin’ Java, Pretzelogical chocolate bars
THE HOOK: At the 2007 Chocolate Show, Berkshire Bark gave consumers a preview of its two new flavors and asked consumers to help name them. Just in time for the 2008 Chocolate Show, the new flavors made their official debut. Jumpin’ Java, made with dark chocolate containing cacao nibs, homemade toffee, espresso, almonds and coffee beans, and Pretzelogical, made with milk chocolate containing pretzels, homemade caramel and peanut butter, won out as monikers.
INGREDIENTS: Jumpin’ Java – Dark chocolate (unsweetened chocolate, sugar, cocoa butter, soy lecithin [an emulsifier], natural vanilla), roasted almonds, espresso toffee (sugar, butter, corn syrup, espresso powder, water), coffee beans, milk chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk, chocolate liquor, soy lecithin [an emulsifier], vanilla), cocoa nibs.
