THE HOOK: The Topps Co. will launch its non-chocolate candy bar, Wazoo, next month. The bar consists of a chewy taffy bar covered in a creamy, tangy coating and sprinkled with candy. Aimed at children ages six through 12, Wazoo will be offered in Blue Razz and Wild Berriez flavors.
INGREDIENTS: Sugar, corn syrup, partially hydrogenated palm kernel oil, nonfat milk powder, palm kernel oil, lactose (milk), natural and artificial flavors, citric acid, soy lecithin (emulsifier), maltodextrin, malic acid, egg white, whey protein concentrate, carrageenan, dextrose, salt, artificial colors, blue 1 lake, red 3, red 40 lake, confectionery glaze, carnauba wax, beeswax. May contain peanuts, tree nuts and wheat.
