Kermit the Frog’s sing-song about how “it’s not easy being green” has taken on a different spin these days. It’s becoming more and more difficult for those who are not green to do business. Being a good corporate citizen in a stratified economy necessitates injecting another competency into traditional business plans. Thus, executives must look at interweaving a socially responsible mandate into their business culture, a mandate that includes proactive ingredient and material sourcing.
