Sweets and Snacks Expo 2013
The show floor of the 2013 Sweets and Snacks Expo.

OHEMGEE! Can you believe there’s only 41 days left until the Sweets and Snacks Expo? That’s just a little less than six weeks until we all get to enter the real-life wonderful Wonka World that's filled with thousands of candy samples and life-size confectionery displays!

Also, where did the last year of my life go? I seriously still need to find a dress for the Candy Industry Magazine Kettle Awards, (which will be held Tuesday, May 20 at the The Union League Club of Chicago, 65 West Jackson) and I have to shop for at least one pair of cute, yet comfortable shoes that I can wear as I walk the miles of show floor at McCormick Place. Don’t worry though, I already have an awesome skirt for the first day of the Expo, so you can rest easy tonight knowing that.

But enough about me, let’s talk about you! Specifically, you the manufacturer, and about how you’re planning to debut a fabulous new product at the Expo, and you want everyone to know about it. Because do I have some fantastic news for you!

As is the custom for Candy Industry Magazine, we are again creating a huge Expo Preview section in our May issue, which will list all the mind-blowing new products slated to debut at the show!

And the best part is, it’s totally free! Seriously, as in gratis, no charge, you pay zero money to participate!

You just have to do two simple steps by the end of the day Thursday, April 10.

1. Fill out our simple New Product Form which you can find here (and also here, if you have issues with the first version).

2. Then, just email me (at lindellc@bnpmedia.com) a high resolution photo of your product.

And voilà! You’re all set!

If you’re an overachiever you don’t have to stop there though! You can also mail me samples of the new product so that I can better grasp what you’re debuting.

Just ship them to:

Managing Editor, Candy Industry
155 N. Pfingsten Rd., Suite 205
Deerfield, Il 60015

Seriously, it’s that simple! If you do all that, you’ll be featured in our amazing Sweets and Snacks Expo Preview section in the May issue, which will be mailed out to subscribers before the show and distributed at the event!

How awesome is that?

But you don’t have to stop there! If you really want to get noticed, you can also get a fantastic deal on placing an ad in the May issue! Advertisers who are also exhibiting at Sweets and Snacks Expo earn a second ad FREE to run in the May issue.  It’s a great way to really increase your exposure!

Aside from the fact that your ad will be seen in the very best confectionery magazine available (if I do say so myself), you’ll also reach our extremely targeted audience of 13,501 subscribers!*

So in conclusion, if you’re a manufacturer, and you haven’t already done so,submit a new product for our free editorial section right now. And if you really want to get noticed, buy an ad. Just email Candy Industry Magazine’s Publisher Kris Collins (CollinsK@BNPMedia.com) — I promise she would love to help you out!

If you’re a buyer on the other hand, be sure to check out our May issue before you take even one step onto the show floor at McCormick Place — after all, it really is the best way to know which booths have the most amazing new products!
