Radz candy wins three industry awards

Tillywig, Creative Child magazine and Dr. Toy hand out kudos.

On the heels of interactive Radz winning Tillywig Toy's Spring 2013 Top Fun Award, this triple treat — a toy, a candy and a virtual experience — is now a triple industry winner. Radz

The novelty line of Radz candy dispensers was just named by Creative Child magazine as a 2013 Top Toy of the Year. At the same time, Dr. Toy (Stevanne Auerbach, PhD), deemed it a 2013 Best Vacation Product.

Launched in late 2012, Radz Brands provides fans of all ages with the world’s first interactive toy, candy and entertainment experience. Each collectable novelty toy candy dispenser in Radz’s line of more than 250 characters comes with its own package of candy and a code to access exclusive videos, games and more on Radz’s online entertainment portal, The codes can also be used to unlock special features in Radz’s growing arcade of mobile apps available in the Apple App Store. The toys start at just $4.99.

Judges at both Creative Child and Dr. Toy shared a few observations as they played, tasted and clicked online in the whimsical world of Radz.

The Creative Child awards are decided at a two-day event, where more than a hundred moms, music educators and early education professionals review products at one station and then move to another station throughout the day. This allows for each product to be given multiple reviews.

"Terrific site! My kids would play these website games and eat the candy all day if I let them," commented one Creative Child reviewer.

As for Dr. Toy, he says the free iOS apps are a great way to keep kids engaged during long travel days. Many of Radz's online and app games supplement childhood education by promoting the development of spatial, mathematical and memory skills.
