Royal Duyvis Wiener, F.B. Lehmann celebrate ‘Cocoa and Choco Days’

Seeing is believing. In order to better communicate the capabilities and innovations available in cocoa and chocolate production equipment, Royal Duyvis Wiener and F.B. Lehmann organized Cocoa and Choco Days at their respective facilities in Koog aan de Zaan, Netherlands, and Aalen, Germany for customers and guests.sn4in

On Oct. 18-19, 75 guests attended the Choco Days program held at Royal Duyvis Wiener’s facility in Koog aan de Zaan. During the guided tour, visitors were showed a complete Q-Choc line, a real chocolate Wiener ball mill line with the newest liquid conching technology (CLC), as well as the latest technology in laboratory chocolate equipment, a F.B. Lehmann laboratory 2 + 5  roll refiner.

On Nov. 14-15, nearly 150 international customers came to Aalen to participate in F.B.Lehmann’s Cocoa & Choco Days. Lehmann had put together a detailed program to inform their guests about the latest developments in cocoa and chocolate. It included lectures about the recently  developed methods in batch nib roasting, powder grinding and chocolate processing.

During the guided tour in the factory and Technology Center, guests were able to see

The latest technology in drum (nib) roasting, alkalizing and cooling;

  • State-of-the art cleaning and winnowing equipment
  • Bean roasting and grinding equipment
  • Trials showing the production of white chocolate on a 2 + % roll refiner
  • Several chocolate and compound grinding lines

Conceived to inform customers about the benefits and latest developments in traditional and modern chocolate processing and cocoa bean processing, the Cocoa and Choco Days programs did, indeed, drive home the “seeing is believing” concept.
