Freshly brewed chocolate

The Company: Mars Snackfood, Hackettstown, N.J.
The Product: TWIX Java
The Hook: With Americans consuming 400 million cups of coffee daily, Mars decided to come up with a snack perfect for a coffee break. The new TWIX Java candy bar combines its original crispy crunchy cookie with coffee-flavored caramel and real espresso beans to create a sweet coffee treat. The candy bar also contains a small amount of naturally occurring caffeine to give you a burst of energy. TWIX Java will be in stores nationwide for only a limited time.
Ingredients:
Milk chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, chocolate, skim milk, lactose, milkfat, soy lecithin, PGPR, artificial flavors), hydrogenated palm kernel oil and/or palm oil, sugar, enriched wheat flour (wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), corn syrup, skim milk, dextrose, less than 2% - cocoa powder, chocolate, natural and artificial flavors, salt, baking soda, soy lecithin, espresso ground coffee.
S.R.P.:
$0.55 for a 2-oz. single pack.

Ingredients:
(Chocolate) Flour, sugar, palm oil, cocoa red alka, eggs, invert sugar, leavening (sodium bicarbonate, sodium aluminum phosphate), salt, pure vanilla & spice, vanillin USP, artificial butter, lecithin, calcium propionate, egg yolks.

$2.99 for a box of 6 pouches.

Candy with caffeine

The Company: Mars Snackfood, Hackettstown, N.J.
The Product: Snickers Charged
The Hook:
It’s time to re-power. Snickers has named the hour between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. “Re-Power Hour.” The new Snickers Charged candy bar contains caffeine, taurine and B-vitamins to provide a boost of energy when you need it most. The candy bar actually contains more caffeine than an 8-oz. soft drink does. In addition to the energy it provides, it also doubles as a great tasting treat because of its tasty nougat, crunchy peanuts, creamy caramel and milk chocolate.
Ingredients: Milk chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, chocolate, skim milk, lactose, milkfat, soy lecithin, artificial flavor), peanuts, corn syrup, sugar, milkfat, skim milk, vegetable oil (partially hydrogenated soybean oil, hydrogenated palm kernel oil and/or palm oil), chocolate, taurine, lactose, salt, caffeine, egg whites, vitamins (pantothenic acid (calcium pantothenate), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine HCL), biotin, vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin), artificial flavor.
