Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate has opened a new plant dedicated to the production of chocolate coatings and fillings. Built on the site of the company’s previous coatings factory in Deventer, the Netherlands, the new plant doubles the company’s coating capacity and expands its fillings capability.

The new facility, in which Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate invested €16 million, enables the company to produce fillings for the chocolate industry, in addition to its existing expertise in coatings and fillings for use in the bakery, biscuit and confectionery industries. It also allows the company to produce a wider, more innovative range of products, including reduced fat solutions, low-calorie chocolate products and customized fillings.
