Chicago-based World’s Finest Chocolate (WFC) has sold and leased back its Southwest Side headquarters and factory to AIC Ventures L.P., a company specializing in sale/leaseback deals. Austin, Texas-based AIC Ventures bought the 435,677-sq.-ft. property on July 10.

Although AIC declined to disclose the purchase price, citing a confidentiality agreement, it did reveal that WFC will be leasing the property for 18 years.

“We timed our acquisition to meet WFC’s needs,” said David Steinwedell, managing partner, AIC Ventures. “The sale leaseback will allow WFC to better position themselves for continued growth.”
